Bay Head and Mantoloking receive a (disappointingly) small amount of snow…

Contrary to the dire weather forecasts this weekend, Bay Head and Mantoloking only received a very light dusting of snow on Saturday morning.  Early on, the forecast had called for us to receive 1 to 3 inches during the day, and an additional 2 to 4 inches that night, but it was not to be.  All we had Saturday night was a bit of rain.  I have always enjoyed snow, and growing up, we used to get quite a bit – now, it has been a number of years since we’ve had a blizzard.  Happily, my volunteer weeks at the Mount Washington Observatory give me the opportunity for plenty of cold, snowy, windy weather.

We hope that all of you are safe and warm wherever you may be.
