Bay Head & Mantoloking Today – April 2020

We hope that this note finds you well, and that you are happy, safe, and healthy! We are certainly living in some unusual and uncertain times, but we are both safe and healthy, as are our families.  Our work continues via virtual and technology means, and as you’ll see further into this update, we’ve happily had some recent closings! With everyone spending so much extra time at home, and not being able to get out much – especially for dinner, some fun ideas have come up. One such idea is to have a “fancy” dinner at home – get dressed up like you’re going out for a special dinner, and then order nice take-out or delivery (or cook if you’d like, and we’re happy to share recipes), to enjoy at home.  Set a nice table, perhaps candle-lit, share a bottle of wine, and enjoy!

As some of you may know, we periodically mail out our magazine, American Lifestyle (containing articles regarding food, travel, art, and many other topics).  We are now offering a digital version –  if you would like to receive it, please let us know (just reply to this email). In addition, if you would like to receive a periodic update about your property’s value, and the surrounding market activity, please let us know, and we will set this up for you.

As always, we hope that you enjoy this month’s video – it is a 20 minute compilation of local sunrises, sunsets, and more.  Due to length, we have linked to it here, rather than embedding it below.  Below, you will find a quick video update from us.  If you would enjoy seeing an aerial view of your home or property, please let us know, and we’ll see what we can do, especially as nicer weather approaches!

Around the Towns

Happily, for the most part, all is well here in Bay Head and Mantoloking.  A small number of Covid-19 cases have been reported in Bay Head, and at this time, none have been reported in Mantoloking. The beaches have been closed in both towns (and surrounding towns) to encourage social distancing, and parking has also been restricted for similar reasons.  Many businesses continue to operate, offering online ordering, curbside pickup, and delivery.  There are more people in town than average right now, with many residents having come to their summer homes to avoid more densely populated areas.

Events

At the moment, there are very few events to share, for obvious reasons.  Having said that, many events have moved online.  Many local organizations, churches, and the like are now streaming their offerings via various technologies.

The I Love Bay Head  and Suzie & Ed Facebook pages are also good sources of information about upcoming events.  If you are not on Facebook (or even if you are), always feel free to call or email with any questions.

Meetings

Not surprisingly, most meetings have been canceled or moved online – the best source of information right now is the town websites – check for frequent updates and changes.

Town meetings can be found on the respective websites, linked below.  If you can’t find an answer to your question, please let us know.

Stay healthy, and we look forward to seeing you when this is all over!  Thank you!
