Ocean County’s $400 million budget is on hold, awaiting federal money

As a property owner in Ocean County, regardless of town, a significant portion of your tax dollars go to the county.  This article talks about the proposed $400 million 2014 Ocean County budget.

“Certainly we expect the real estate market to rebuild this year; hopefully it will bring our tax base back up next year somewhat, which will relieve pressure on the tax base,” Bartlett said.
