VIDEO: The Sights and Sounds of Steel Driving (Or the Installation of the Steel Revetment in Mantoloking)

Friday morning I had the opportunity to observe the driving of some of the steel for the revetment in Mantoloking. The video below gives you some idea of what it is like, including the sound of vibrating steel sheet pile. You may want to adjust your volume. 🙂 The project started on Thursday, and could take up to 180 days if everything goes according to plan. By my estimate, they probably drove over 150 feet of steel today, starting just south of Herbert Street, and ending a couple properties north.
