We hope that you're having a good winter, and that you're looking forward to spring and summer! Memorial Day is only about 90 days away... If all goes according to plan, beach replenishment will start in Bay Head in March, and in Mantoloking in May.
In recent weeks, we have had strong west and northwest winds, resulting in extremely low tides on the bay and nearby rivers. You can see an aerial video here, and in this month's gallery. The cold weather has also allowed ice boats to return to the local rivers!
Other News
Though there are not all that many events scheduled for March, there are some "spring cleaning" opportunities that are coming up. Ocean County runs a household hazardous waste disposal program, with drop off events throughout the year. Registration is required, and dates and details can be found here. Similarly, the county also offers a document shredding program. That schedule can be found here. Both services have events scheduled starting in April.
In Bay Head, the decision was recently made to install a concrete sidewalk along Club Drive on the east side of Howe Field, and along Metcalf, on the south side of the field. The sidewalk will be in the town's right of way, not the field itself.
Mantoloking recently passed an ordinance enacting a partial ban of gas power blowers in town. The focus is on commercial services, and registration is required. In the summer season, the use of gas blowers is prohibited, in the off season, use is greatly limited.
The Bay Head 5K is still a few months away (May 17th), but registration is now open. The proceeds from the 5K go to the Kate Shea Foundation, to help them support organizations that fight cancer, and promote youth education.
In May, Taylor Sam's, a restaurant, will be moving into the location currently occupied by Dune Grass Cafe.

Market
We are proud to share the news that we were named the top producing, top listing, and top selling team for the Bay Head office in 2024 - thank you to you for our continued success. We are happy to share that (per MLS statistics for 2024), we are again one of the top three teams in all of Bay Head and Mantoloking. Again, thank you!
February has been a relatively quiet month in the Bay Head and Mantoloking market, but we expect inventory to increase as Spring approaches. 49 North Street, Bay Head (listed by agents from our office) recently sold for $1,990,000. In addition, our listing at 315 Pompano Court (Lavallette) is now under contract, and our listing at 178 Cranberry Avenue, Bay Head has received multiple offers.
