Spring is finally here, and we hope that you're enjoying it!
Though it was 34 degrees here recently one morning, overall, it looks and feels like Spring, with bulbs coming up everywhere!
We recently learned that beach replenishment will likely be delayed, due to equipment breakdown. No new schedule has been published.
Other News
Property and mortgage fraud (fraudulent tampering with property records, attempts to fraudulently "sell" a property) remains a problem. The Ocean County clerk continues to offer a free property alert service to make you aware of any attempts to alter your records. You can learn more and sign up. This issue most commonly involves vacant land, and you can read an FBI notice on the topic here.
The Bay Head 5K is still a few months away (May 17th), but registration is now open. The proceeds from the 5K go to the Kate Shea Foundation, to help them support organizations that fight cancer, and promote youth education.
In May, Taylor Sam's, a breakfast and lunch restaurant, will be moving into the location currently occupied by Dune Grass Cafe.
Also, if you have young children or grandchildren, the new Bay Head Day Camp will be operating out of the classrooms at All Saints Episcopal Church. For slightly older kids - 5 to 12 - there is the Bay Head Summer Camp (at Bay Head School, Monday June 30th, to Thursday, August 7th, to 9am to 12pm) - call the town hall, or visit the town website to sign up.

Market
As is often the case, activity and inventory have both increased somewhat throughout the month of March. Two of our listings are under contract, and both are soon due to close. Much of the "new" inventory consists of homes that were on the market previously, and have now come back on the market with a significant price reduction - $500,000, or more, in some cases.
Our most recent listing, 88 Osborne Avenue, Bay Head, a vacant 55 x 140' building lot, has received multiple offers, after only a few days on the market.
In the next few weeks, we do expect to have some additional new listings to share with you, both on and off the water, in Bay Head and Mantoloking. If you, or someone you know, is looking for a particular sort of property, please let us know - one of our new listings might be a good fit!
