We hope that you're looking forward to a nice Thanksgiving!
The weather has started to cool here - first frost last week, and the striped bass are here in quantity. The fishing has been great! If you walk up to the beach, keep an eye out - whales and dolphins are still here, and there have been some seals too!
Though it is not quite Thanksgiving, Christmas is coming! Bay Head's Christmas walk is on December 1st, Mantoloking's tree lighting is on December 10th. Details can be found below.
Mantoloking's police department will be partnering with St. Gregory's Pantry for their 8th Annual Toy and Food Drive. Drop boxes can be found in the Mantoloking borough hall lobby, and outside the police department.
Other News
As we head toward the holidays, though it is beautiful here, it is relatively quiet - happily, not much news! There is lots of utility work going on in Bay Head, so if you're in town, don't be surprised by some delays or detours. The Bay Head Christmas Walk is about two weeks away, and will take place on the evening of Friday, December 1st. Details can be found here.
In Mantoloking, the town is in the process of reviewing and updating its borough code (ordinances). Some significant changes could be introduced, so be sure to review the council meeting agendas, and attend the meetings if you are able. Mantoloking council meeting agendas and more can be found.

Market
As is often the case, the Bay Head and Mantoloking market has slowed (as have most other areas) as we approach the holidays. Here and there, there have been some price reductions, and at least two homes have been taken off the market, unsold. Happily, our listing at 47 Mount Street, Bay Head, continues to garner showings. Also, just a few weeks ago, our bayfront listing at 950 South Lagoon Lane closed, at almost 93% of the asking price of $7,200,000. Inventory remains limited, but traditionally, after the holidays, and after the heart of winter has passed, inventory and the market activity will pick up again.
